Barbed wire is a type of fencing material that has sharp-edged barbs or points, usually made of metal, that are designed to deter animals and people from crossing the fence. It is commonly used for agricultural and industrial purposes, as well as to enclose private property. Galvanized barbed wire is used in defending of farm land, sport ground, or used together with concertina razor wire. Normally it's settled above the fence, for example chain link fence and welded fence, avoiding climbing across.
