Expanded Metal is a rigid, non-raveling piece of metal. During the expanding process, the metal can be expanded up to ten times its original size, losing up to 80% of its weight while becoming significantly stronger and more rigid. One of the primary advantages is that no material is lost during manufacturing.

Terminology

• S.W.M (Short Way of Mesh): Distance from center to center of joints across the short diamond way.
